The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) is conducting an Environmental Impact Statement for proposed widening and/or realignment of State Route 603/43 in Hancock County. The purpose of the EIS is to address the transportation, environmental, and safety issues of such a transportation corridor. The proposed improvements will reduce congestion and travel delays occurring in and around the project area. The proposed project will improve safety and mobility while enhancing emergency evacuations from the Mississippi Gulf Coast area.
