The Mississippi Unified Long Range Transportation Infrastructure Plan (MULTIPLAN) is a comprehensive analysis of transportation Infrastructure and needs throughout the state. The MULTIPLAN, with a horizon year of 2030, will guide MDOT efforts and initiatives to develop an efficient and effective intermodal transportation network for Mississippi’s citizens and economic development interests. The MULTIPLAN will be re-evaluated on an approximate 5-year interval to extend the horizon year and insure that the Plan reflects the current situation.

The MULTIPLAN addresses transportation needs and desires across multiple levels, analyzing all modes of travel for their responsiveness to local, regional and statewide needs, ability to further economic development objectives, contribution to sustainable development ideals, and the overall impact on the quality of life of Mississippi’s citizenry.
