The Division of Transportation Information (DTI) is primarily responsible for providing and supporting the use of geospatial information and technologies throughout MDOT. The list of functions includes:

• Identifying, cataloging and disseminating all enterprise spatial data;
• Coordinating with agencies external to MDOT for spatial data collaboration projects;
• Purchasing, licensing and support of spatial applications in conjunction with Information Systems Division;
• Collecting and providing orthophotography;
• Developing and supporting custom applications for editing and maintaining spatial data sets.
