The Assistant Chief Engineer—Field Operations has four divisions under her supervision. They are the Construction Division, Maintenance Division, Traffic Engineering Division and Architectural Services Unit. This office supports MDOT’s overall mission through the maintenance of the State Maintained Highway System with emphasis on the implementation of efficient and safe traffic control standards. It also oversees the architectural design of MDOT facilities. The Assistant Chief Enginner—Field Operations responds to the Transportation Commission and/or nondepartmental entities concerning MDOT’s position on operational matters and coordinates MDOT activities with state and federal governmental agencies. She also coordinates the actvities and needs of district personnel and divisions outside operational maintenance.
