The District Engineer is responsible for coordinating, planning, design, construction and maintenance of the intermodal transportation network within ten counties. The counties include: Hinds, Madison, Rankin, Leake, Scott, Neshoba, Newton, Noxubee, Kemper, and Lauderdale.
