The Audit Division is responsible for independent appraisals of MDOT’s divisions and districts. The appraisals are conducted through the means of an audit or review to ensure that MDOT policies and procedures are adequately maintained and followed. The extent of compliance with applicable federal and state laws, statutes and regulations; the reliability, accuracy and completeness of the division/district records and reports; and the proper protection and use of funds and resources are also reviewed for accuracy.
