The General Services Division, as its name implies, is a service oriented organization providing an array of vital functions to all MDOT Division and District Offices. The Division, which is comprised of the following five branches, provides services ranging from office supplies and printing to communications and vehicle/equipment services:

Administration – Located at 2567 N. West St., Building A, General Services Administration provides direction, management and policy making for the Division as a whole, as well as maintenance and archiving of purchasing and imprest fund documents.

Central Supply – Located at 2567 N. West St., Building C, Central Supply provides a wide variety of office supplies, forms, stationary, envelopes and other miscellaneous items which are available for order by all MDOT offices. The Central Supply Ordering system is available online at MDOT@Work for MDOT employees.

Equipment Shop – Located at 2567 N. West St., Building F, the Equipment Shop provides a pool of vehicles for travel purposes and other service related equipment; these vehicles and equipment are available to all authorized MDOT personnel. An automotive repair shop and vehicle wash area is maintained in addition to a statewide wrecker service.

Print Shop – Located at 2567 N. West St., Building A, with a section, the Plans Print Shop, located at 401 N. West St., Room 1100, the MDOT Print Shop provides four-color and spot color printing of virtually all MDOT publications, including magazines, newsletters, manuals, reports and brochures. Other printed materials include Department forms, letterheads, business cards, notepads and any other documents or specialty items which may be needed. Project plans and plan sets are produced at the Plans Print Shop.

Radio Communications – Located at 2567 N. West St., Building E, Radio Communications provides radio operations, radio equipment installation and radio maintenance services statewide.
