The Consultant Services Unit will maintain a healthy partnership with both MDOT and its Consultants involved in the consultant contracting
process by providing quality services in a time-efficient manner while facilitating all non-technical aspects of contract administration and
ensuring compliance with all federal and state guidelines.
The primary functions of the division include:
- Prepare agenda items for various engineering divisions.

Prepare legal notice to send to the Clarion-Ledger; Set up pre-evaluation meetings stemming from the legal notice; Prepare minutes of the meetings;
Draft selection and rejection letters to mail to the consultant firms; Prepare contracts; Issue the Notice to proceed letters to the consultant firms;
Research project information for processing invoices; Communication with consultants; Direct Vouchers for payments in FMS.
- Requisitions for payments in FMS; Supervise processing of invoices; and Research invoice payment questions through SAAS.
